Upcoming Events: July 2026
I feel fortunate to have the opportunity to be joining Terra Invisus (Alex Lyon, clarinets, Rebecca Burden, cello, and Milda Vitartaite, piano) and CoMA London ensemble for a concert of innovative contemporary music for trio and mixed ensemble. Two brand new pieces by the composers Joanna Ward and Matthew Gilley will explore the unique combination of the ensembles, both pioneers of unconventional music-making combining notation and improvisation.
The individual members of Terra Invisus will also join CoMA London to perform concertos by Amoret Abis, Howard Jones and Howard Cheesman, and the trio will play music by Paweł Mykietyn.
Expect atmospheric harmonies, sonorous melodies, weird and wonderful sound-making, and pebbles!
There will be an interval with drinks available. No explanation or evidence is required for concessions tickets.
Joanna Ward and Matthew Gilley's pieces have been supported by the Vaughan Williams Foundation.
